Green and Chapel Street is an infill development in a sensitive heritage precinct in the Cremorne area of Richmond. The site was purchased in 2002 with a complicated town planning history, the project evolved from rigorous negotiations with City of Yarra planning and their heritage architects. The built form takes into consideration a building envelope that leverages all available massing opportunities with the internal spaces cleverly crafted to function within the residual space. The project compromise of three townhouses on a 264 sqm site with an interpretative palate of materials that justify within the context of the neighbourhoods aesthetics.
